Holiday in China

March and ten weeks in Malaysia  had past by very quickly indeed. We decided that it would be good to take advantage of our holiday to go up and see Bradley's little corner of the world. So we caught a flight up to Chengdu where we were met by Brad, Jing Jing and her dad. They drove us to Mianyang. By the time we arived it was the middle of the night.
We stayed in a great hotel close to the railway station in Mianyang. Day 1 was mainly a wander, lunch with Jing Jing's family and dinner out at Brad's apartment.

The local police making a delivery of balloons? These went passed when Ruth and I were wandering, I think that they came from outside our hotel.

Ruth beside the river in Mianyang. The bridge in the background was very colourful. Notice all of the weeping willow trees are just bursting into leaf. It was spring, the temperature was around 10 degrees C. Every day was grey due to the heavy air pollution, there was lots of dust in the air.
